This is an entry for #CRPhotography 's contest "Where I Live": [link]
I chose to take a photo of Frederiksborg Castle to illustrate where I live for several reasons. First off, this actually IS where I live - I can see the castle's spires from my kitchen window. The castle and its lakes are a symbol of home to me, and I spend a lot of time taking walks around the castle lakes, taking photos in the forest behind the castle or even skating on the lake in the winter. Secondly, this type of castle is very typical of Denmark, where kings built these red brick castles with copper towers in all strategically important towns. One might say that the castles are a trademark of Denmark. Thirdly, the castle is covered in snow, which is also a kind of trademark of Denmark - it's bloody cold!!
